The Genesis-IS 6GS-Class Series 1604S IP storage is a high-availability appliance that incorporates 16 disk drives with support for external storage expansion up to 88 drives. High performance features include quad-core processor, 4GB DATA Packet and Command Queuing Cache for SSPP® and five bonded Gigabit iSCSI connections or optional dual bonded 10G iSCSI connections.
This fault-tolerant IP storage system comes in a convenient, space-saving 3U Rackmount chassis with hot-swappable drives and trays, load-sharing hot-swappable redundant power supply and an advanced cooling system. Your data is protected with your choice of RAID Levels 0, 1, 5, 6, 10 and 50 across sixteen hot-swappable SAS/SATA/SSD disk drives on a high-performance RAID controller.
Installation and setup are a breeze, allowing the Genesis-IS 6GS-Class Series 1604S to be up and running in about 15 minutes after it is unpacked from the box.

Input an estimate of the amount of storage you will need. Your available storage capacity will decrease depending on the RAID level you choose. Do not include hot spares in your raw storage calculation.
Input the amount of data you currently have in use. This will be used to generate an estimate on the number of disks you will need for this amount of available storage, after accounting for the RAID level.
