The FlexStor-NAS™ 40 Serial ATA RAID NAS is a high-availability 1U Rackmount NAS server that incorporates storage capacities of 144GB to 1,600GB (1.6TB) with the latest NAS and RAID technologies. High performance features include 2.8GHz Pentium 4 800MHz FSB processor, up to 4GB RAM and dual 10/100/1000 copper gigabit Ethernet connectivity. Data protection is ensured with a hardware RAID 5 controller, and all 4 disk drives are hot-swappable from the front of the unit.

What's more, the FlexStor-NAS 40 comes standard with an internal CD-ROM drive, eliminating the hassle of trying to hook up an external CD-ROM to your NAS server. Installation and setup are a breeze, allowing the FlexStor-NAS 40 Server to be up and running in about 15 minutes after it is unpacked from the box.

All FlexStor-NAS Servers are powered by Windows Storage Server 2003 and Storage Manager. Windows Storage Server allows the FlexStor-NAS to be used as a file server, domain controller, application server, web server, name server, print server, streaming media server, and more!

Windows Storage Server 2003 includes Remote Desktop which allows system administrators to remotely manage the FlexStor-NAS Server from anywhere in the world. It also includes Volume Shadow Copy Service which makes storage and back up easier, while reducing demands on system administrators. Volume Shadow Copy technology enables you to retrieve old copies of deleted files right from your Windows desktop.
