The FlexStor-NAS™ M2-16320 Xeon SCSI RAID NAS is a high-availability modularized NAS server that incorporates SCSI storage capacities of 576GB to 19.2 TeraBytes with the latest NAS and SCSI RAID technologies. The FlexStor-NAS M2-16320 Xeon SCSI RAID NAS is composed of a 2U NAS-Engine along with 1 to 4 TaskMaster™ 16320 SCSI-to-SCSI RAID 3U Modules, giving you up to 4.8TB NAS Storage in only 5U rack height, up to 9.6TB in only 8U rack height, and up to 19.2TB in only 15U rack height.
Each TaskMaster 16320 RAID includes 16 hot-swappable Ultra320 SCSI drives, dual hot-swappable 460 Watt power supplies, built-in environmental controller and high-performance four-channel RAID controller. Not only is your data protected with your choice of RAID 0, 1, 0+1, 3, 5, 10, 30, or 50, but the unit features remote notification in case of any drive or hardware failures.
The FlexStor-NAS M2 is a high-performance 2U NAS-Engine featuring single or dual Xeon 2.4GHz processors, dual 10/100/1000 copper gigabit Ethernet connectivity, up to 16GB RAM, hot-swappable redundant power supplies and integrated dual channel Ultra320 SCSI controller. The NAS operating system is mirrored on two SCSI hot-swappable disk drives with hardware RAID 1 to maintain maximum uptime. Additional software, including backup client or server applications, may be loaded on the NAS via its integrated CD-ROM drive. An external tape backup device can also be connected to its built-in SCSI controller for disaster recovery.
All FlexStor-NAS Servers are powered by Windows Storage Server 2003 and Storage Manager. Windows Storage Server allows the FlexStor-NAS to be used as a file server, domain controller, application server, web server, name server, print server, streaming media server, and more!
Windows Storage Server 2003 includes Remote Desktop and an intuitive browser-based management interface, which allow system administrators to remotely manage the FlexStor-NAS Server from anywhere in the world. It also includes Volume Shadow Copy Service which makes storage and back up easier, while reducing demands on system administrators. Volume Shadow Copy technology enables you to retrieve old copies of deleted files right from your Windows desktop.
With high-performance storage options, scalability, and redundant design, the FlexStor-NAS M2-16320 is ideal for demanding, mission-critical environments, and can be used as the foundation for a range of enterprise applications.
