Each Enterprise 16320 RAID includes 16 hot-swappable Serial ATA disk drives and trays, triple hot-swappable 300 Watt power supplies, built-in environmental controller, and hot-swappable cooling fans. Not only is your data protected with your choice of RAID levels 1, 0+1, 3, 5, 30, and 50, but you can also manage your file server easily and remotely with a web browser over your company's network.
The FlexStor-NAS C2 is a high-performance 2U NAS cluster engine featuring single or dual Xeon 2.4GHz processors, dual 10/100/1000 copper gigabit Ethernet connectivity, up to 16GB RAM, hot-swappable redundant power suplies and dual channel Ultra320 SCSI controller. The NAS operating system is mirrored on two hot-swappable 36GB 10,000RPM WD Raptor™ SATA disk drives with hardware RAID 1 to maintain maximum uptime. Additional software, including backup client or server applications, may be loaded on the NAS via its integrated CD-ROM drive. An external tape backup device can also be connected to its built-in SCSI controller for disaster recovery.
All FlexStor-NAS Cluster Servers are powered by Windows Storage Server 2003 Enterprise Edition and Storage Manager. Windows Storage Server allows the FlexStor-NAS to be used as a file server, domain controller, application server, web server, name server, print server, streaming media server, and more!
Windows Storage Server 2003 includes Remote Desktop and an intuitive browser-based management interface, which allow system administrators to remotely manage the FlexStor-NAS Server from anywhere in the world. It also includes Volume Shadow Copy Service which makes storage and back up easier, while reducing demands on system administrators. Volume Shadow Copy technology enables you to retrieve old copies of deleted files right from your Windows desktop.
