TaskMaster™ series disk shelves are intelligent and innovative storage subsystems for mission critical and high bandwidth applications. TaskMaster 14000 subsystem comes with 14 hot-swappable drive trays, accommodating 1" Ultra320 SCSI drives. Reliability is insured with triple redundant hot swappable 760 Watt power supplies. The TaskMaster JBOD's modular, scalable design makes expansion easy when storage needs increase. It is the ideal storage solution for applications requiring high data throughput, availability, and flexibility in configuration. With RAID managed by the C2 NAS-Engines, the straightforward TaskMaster shelf design minimizes potential points of failure.
The FlexStor-NAS C2 is a high-performance 2U NAS cluster engine featuring single or dual Xeon 2.4GHz processors, dual 10/100/1000 copper gigabit Ethernet connectivity, up to 16GB RAM, hot-swappable redundant power supplies and dual channel Ultra320 SCSI RAID controller. The NAS operating system is mirrored on two hot-swappable 36GB 10,000RPM WD Raptor™ SATA disk drives with hardware RAID 1 to maintain maximum uptime. Additional software, including backup client or server applications, may be loaded on the NAS via its integrated CD-ROM drive. An external tape backup device can also be connected to its built-in SCSI controller for disaster recovery.
All FlexStor-NAS Cluster Servers are powered by Windows Storage Server 2003 Enterprise Edition and Storage Manager. Windows Storage Server allows the FlexStor-NAS to be used as a file server, domain controller, application server, web server, name server, print server, streaming media server, and more!
Windows Storage Server 2003 includes Remote Desktop and an intuitive browser-based management interface, which allow system administrators to remotely manage the FlexStor-NAS Server from anywhere in the world. It also includes Volume Shadow Copy Service which makes storage and back up easier, while reducing demands on system administrators. Volume Shadow Copy technology enables you to retrieve old copies of deleted files right from your Windows desktop.
