The R-Link™ 3200 Console Port Management Switch provides secure, in-band and/or out-of-band access to RS232 console ports and maintenance ports on RAID systems, UNIX servers, routers, and other network equipment. System Administrators can access serial maintenance ports over the network via Telnet connection and simple menu-driven commands, or through a discrete TCP port connection mapped directly to one of the R-Link 3200 serial outputs. The R-Link 3200 can also send buffered console messages via Syslog, as well as alert via SNMP when incoming console messages are captured.
The R-Link 3200 is ideal for allowing administrators to buffer console data collected during non-connect periods, and/or to access console ports through out-of-band connections, such as dial-up modems or local terminals.
Applications:
Local or Remote Console Port Switching
UNIX Serial Console Management
Telnet or Dial-Up Access to Consoles at Remote Locations
Manage Multiple Console Ports Using a Single VT100 Terminal or PC
