The IPBank E-Series 311 Ultra320 SCSI RAID iSCSI Appliance is a high-availability 1U iSCSI product that incorporates storage capacities of 108GB to 900GB with the latest iSCSI and RAID technologies. High performance features include choice of single or dual Xeon processors, up to 4GB RAM and dual 10/100/1000 copper gigabit Ethernet connectivity. Data protection is ensured with a hardware RAID controller, and both OS and the 3 data disk drives are hot-swappable from the front of the unit.
Installation and setup are a breeze, allowing the IPBank E-Series 311 Ultra320 RAID iSCSI system to be up and running in about 15 minutes after it is unpacked from the box. Additional software, including backup client or server applications, may be loaded on the iSCSI appliance via its integrated CD-ROM drive.
Not only is the IPBank E-Series 311 Ultra320 SCSI RAID iSCSI great as a stand-alone network-attached storage device, but it is also highly expandable as well. With the optional Ultra160 or Ultra320 SCSI controller, you can connect one or more direct-attached RAID subsystems to the IPBank-E 311 to vastly increase your available fault-tolerant storage capacities.
Or for even higher throughput, choose the optional 2Gb Optical Fibre Channel Host Bus Adapter available with either single, dual or quad-ports -- allowing you to expand the FlexStor-NAS 311e with up to 4 Fibre Channel-attached RAID subsystems scaling up to an additional 25 TeraBytes of storage.
All IPBank E-Series products are based on Windows Storage Server 2003 base kernel, and powered by DynamiX iSCSI Storage Server. Windows Storage Server allows the IPBank-E to be used not only as a high-performance iSCSI appliance, but also as a file server, domain controller, application server, web server, name server, print server, streaming media server, and more!
Windows Storage Server 2003 includes Remote Desktop and an intuitive browser-based management interface, which allow system administrators to remotely manage an IPBank E-Series product from anywhere in the world. The DynamiX iSCSI Storage Server delta snapshot service can be leveraged in addition to Volume Shadow Copy Service to provide easy data recovery and rollback.
