Each TaskMaster 16000 RAID includes up to 16 hot-swappable Ultra320 SCSI drives, triple hot-swappable 300 Watt power supplies, built-in environmental controller and RAID controller supporting up to 45 SCSI drives. Not only is your data protected with your choice of RAID 1, 3, 5 or 0+1, but you can also manage your iSCSI appliance easily and remotely with a web browser over your company's network.
The IPBank L-Series M4 is a high-performance 4U iSCSI-Engine featuring single or dual storage processors 2.4GHz processors, dual 10/100/1000 copper gigabit Ethernet connectivity, up to 16GB RAM, triple hot-swappable redundant power supplies, and two dual channel Ultra320 SCSI controllers. The iSCSI operating system is mirrored on two 10,000RPM SCSI hot-swappable disk drives with hardware RAID 1 to maintain maximum uptime.

RAID TECHNOLOGY
TaskMaster™ 16000 RAID series are intelligent and innovative storage subsystems for mission critical and high bandwidth applications. Purpose-built for high volume, fail-safe data storage applications, the TaskMaster 16000 RAID sets new standards in its class. It features a backplane design for sixteen hot-swappable disk drives, N+1 load sharing PFC power supplies, pure aluminum case & component, and specially designed airflow passages.
TaskMaster 16000 RAID is equipped with an Ultra160 SCSI RAID controller to offer fault-tolerant data protection. It is 100% transparent to the host operating system and requires no custom drivers to the host operating system. It is a full featured data protection subsystem supporting RAID levels 0, 1, 0+1, 3, 5, and JBOD remote event notifications. It is the ideal storage solution for applications requiring high data throughput, availability, and flexibility in configuration.
System reliability is ensured by an environmental monitoring unit, which tracks the enclosure temperature as well as individual disk temperatures. If any irregularity in these systems occurs, the monitoring unit alerts the administrator with an audible alarm, by fax and pager. The TaskMaster 16000 RAID features an easy-to-read menu-driven LCD display of array/drive status and array configuration commands. It comes with fault and activity LEDs, Up, Select, Down and Exit buttons for easy operation.
TaskMaster 16000 RAID subsystems come with 16 hot-swappable drive trays for accommodating 3.5" Ultra160/320 SCSI drives. Reliability is insured with load sharing hot swappable triple redundant (N+1) 300 Watt power supplies. The TaskMaster 16000 RAID's scalable design makes expansion easy when storage needs increase.
