The IPBank E-Series™ 2425 Ultra320 SCSI RAID iSCSI is a high-availability iSCSI appliance that incorporates storage capacities of 864GB to 7,200GB (7.2TB) with the latest iSCSI and RAID technologies. High performance features include single or dual Xeon processors, up to 16GB RAM, and dual 10/100/1000 copper gigabit Ethernet connectivity.
This fault-tolerant data storage comes in a convenient, space-saving 5U Rackmount chassis with hot-swappable drives and trays, redundant 950 Watt 3+1 power supplies, and an advanced cooling system. Your data is protected with your choice of RAID 0, 1, 10, 5, and 50 across twenty-four hot-swappable Ultra320 SCSI disk drives, on a high-performance multi-channel Ultra320 SCSI hardware RAID controller.
An integrated Dual-Channel Ultra320 SCSI controller (HBA) allows the IPBank E-Series 2425 to either be expanded by connecting external SCSI-attached RAID subsystems, or connected to an external tape backup device for disaster recovery. Or for even higher throughput, choose the optional 2Gb Optical Fibre Channel Host Bus Adapters available with either single, dual or quad-ports -- allowing you to expand the IPBank E-Series 2425 with up to 5 Fibre Channel-Attached RAID subsystems scaling up to an additional 32 TeraBytes of storage.
Installation and setup are a breeze, allowing the IPBank E-Series 2425 to be up and running in about 15 minutes after it is unpacked from the box. Additional software, including backup client or server applications, may be loaded on the iSCSI appliance via its integrated CD-ROM drive.
All IPBank E-Series products are based on Windows Storage Server 2003 base kernel, and powered by DynamiX iSCSI Storage Server. Windows Storage Server allows the IPBank-E to be used not only as a high-performance iSCSI appliance, but also as a file server, domain controller, application server, web server, name server, print server, streaming media server, and more!
Windows Storage Server 2003 includes Remote Desktop and an intuitive browser-based management interface, which allow system administrators to remotely manage an IPBank E-Series product from anywhere in the world. The DynamiX iSCSI Storage Server delta snapshot service can be leveraged in addition to Volume Shadow Copy Service to provide easy data recovery and rollback.
